This is a John Dean pivoting-cheek driving bit. Stiff mouthpiece. It is rusty. Left side cheek-piece can pivot freely, but the left side is rusted. Bit with patent No. 657,762 sep. 11,1900. The object of the bit invention was to provide an improved snaffleog half-snaffle bit of increased strength and durability. The design intended to make the process of manufacturing the bit easier and cheaper, as well as making a stronger construction. The mouthpiece is stiff with a oval shape. It tappers towards the cheek-pieces. It is 1.5 cm at the wides part and 1 cm next to the cheek-pieces. 0.8 cm at the small side of the oval. The mouthpiece is curved
